Didn’t realised that it’s been quite awhile since I’ve last posted anything here.
Don’t think there’s much traffic here anyway.
As usual, I’ve been busy with a couple of concerts and weddings. It’s all been really nice.
I’ve learnt more of the wedding photography trade and no wonder it’s been known to be one of the most difficult genres of photography. It really isn’t as simple as it seems to be.
Concert shooting wise, I’ve shot Colbie Caillat’s showcase, Maroon 5, KT Tunstall, The Great Spy Expriment, Elton John and just recently James Blunt.
I had a blast of a time shooting Great Spy, it’s the kind of photos that I’m able to capture that really keeps me going. The candid and behind the scene photos is what I like doing. Big shows have many rigid and stupid restrictions. I really wonder why sometimes. What difference does it make if we shoot 10 rows behind and just awhile ago we were 10 rows in front.
Most crappy shoot so far this year has gotta be Maroon 5. Just didn’t enjoy it and it just wasn’t exciting. Ha.
I will be posting photos from The Great Spy show at The Esplanade soon.
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything here. I’ve just been plain lazy and my mind is so full of things. My apologies. I’ve been getting quite a number of hits to this blog.
I’m still around just that I don’t know what to post.
I wanna get lots of things done but don’t know where to start.
For example, there’s the new music portfolio that I wanna work on and then I should really get my wedding portfolio redone as well.
Lot’s of planning and admin to be down in the next couple of months.
This site is pretty new but I don’t seem to really like it now after some feedback from friends.
So many things to do, so little time? I really do not know myself.
Shot 4 weddings recently and it was all a beautiful experience. The last wedding I shot though had me waking up at 4.30am to prepare and leaving the house at about 5.30am as the couple had a wedding lunch instead of a dinner so everything had to start early. It was good in a way that it ended about 3pm and I had the rest of the afternoon to rest and start working on the photos.
Then there were the concerts. There was Dream Theater and Switchfoot in January, Fiction Plan and The Police earlier this month. In 2 weeks time, Saosin will be opening for Incubus and I hope to be shooting that. Still waiting for confirmation. I hope to cover Maroon 5 as well as KT Tunstall as well.
Some photos from recent shows..

More to come..
Wow, I just realised that I didn’t blog at all in October and November.
I guess I was too busy with shooting gigs and weddings and playing around with Facebook and Flickr that I’ve neglected this. Ha.
Lets see, Black Eyed Peas came to town and The Click Five opened for them. Then there was The Click Five showcase at Ministry of Sound. Metal rockers Megadeth and Heaven & Hell(Black Sabbath) was in town as well. Linkin Park was here as well which was one of the most anticipated gig for many this year. Simple Plan was just here recently to promote their latest album and for a mini showcase. It’s been good. I’ve always loved shooting music and meeting the musicians and fans alike.
Apart from music, I shot a simple but lovely wedding of Sue-Ann and Scott at the Raffles Hotel which was really a beautiful location. Thanks to Kuang from 39 East for giving me the opportunity and guiding me and teaching me.
Let me leave you with some recent gig photos which I like.
